Author Visit

January 31st at 2:00 PM  Local children's book author, Bonnie Peugeot will be here at the downtown Madison library to share her book, Adventures of Kimo.  This adventure story is about imagination and having the strength to believe in yourself. January Programs!

Winter Reading 'Blizzard of Books!' begins January 5th and lasts until February 28th! Pick up a Winter Reading log at Madison or Hanover Branch libraries and begin collecting points to earn prizes.  There are several ways to rack up points including reading, doing good deeds, and attending library programs!  

You can earn up to four prizes per card completed and can finish up to two cards during the program.  Prizes include scented bookmarks, popcorn, hot chocolate, and small toys like rubber duckies, bracelets and more.  We'll have a special drawing at the end of Winter Reading for some awesome gift baskets for kids and adults.  

Minecraft Monday! - January 12th at 5:30 PM at the Hanover Branch   Call 812-866-1470 to reserve a computer or bring a wireless device to connect to our free wifi.  Game on at your library. 






Mother Goose on the Loose - for children ages 6m0.-35mo. and caregiver beginning January 20th at 10:30 AM in Madison.  This short 30minute program includes songs, rhymes, big books, instrument play and more!  (Weekly sessions for 5 weeks on Tuesdays)

Pre-K Story Time - recommended for ages 3-6 years  January 22nd at 11:00 AM at the Hanover Branch.  This 40 minute story time includes books, music, crafts and dramatic play.  (Weekly sessions for 5 weeks on Thursdays)

Lego Club - Come and build with us!!  All ages welcome.  January 17th at 11:00 AM  The library has lots of legos, tinker toys, and Lincoln logs.  You are also welcome to bring your own if you like and we'll keep them separate with mats.  Let's create something!  


Dinner & a Movie! January 29th at 6:00 PM - Wadjda  The first movie filmed in Saudi Arabia by a woman.  This movie is inspiring and sets a wonderful example for children to work hard and believe in themselves to accomplish their dreams.  Bring your dinner and we'll show the movie! (running time 1.5 hrs) PG
